Ok, I haven't blogged in ages and the time for blogging is at hand. Me, and a few others went for WE WILL ROCK YOU on Wednesday. We met at the Marina Square and ate at Yoshinoya, which really sucked. Paul Wong started doing his Math but we had to leave quickly so he didn't do much of it. We were nearly late for the Musical. I had very good seats at a decent price and I thought than it was very good. It was one of the best I have seen in a long long time. Also, during the last song, Paul's screams and shouts could be heard distinctly through the Esplanade. After the musical, I went home and hit the sheets as soon as possible. By the way, if you have not watched it, go and get tickets for tomorrow's show or something like that! The last day is TOMORROW!!

Below is a simple reflection that i thought of while I was looking through a blog and i adapted this from the blog together with some of my personal thoughts.

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'

The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'. They went on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.

One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' to.

For those who didn't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island.

Father and son went on to complete the race together.

I was extremely touched when i watched this video. It taught me that in life, even if you may seem disabled, and unable to do certain stuff, there always will be someone there to help. Also, it brought my mind back to this phrase in Isaiah 49, it is stated that God has our names written on the palm of His hands. For this very reason, we should rely more on him. He will guide us through the wilderness just as the father did in the video.

Yesterday, the SJI International Debating team attended a debate competition and debated against St Margaret's Secondary School in the semi-finals of the Julia Gabriel's Debating Championship. This round was a 1 hour preparation round with no help from coaches. I, being the reserve of the team, helped the main speakers find examples and look up on facts. This was hopeless however as the almanac barely had anything. After the 1 hour, we debated St Margaret's and we WON!! We were all so happy that we won and now, we are finalist. Imagine a new school, getting into the finals of a debate competition at a national level. So, after getting the results, I was suppose to meet my parents but, Louisa, Antonia and Nicole dragged me to the bus stop with them against my will. When they finally gave up, and left, I had to walk around the school, trying to figure out where the main entrance was. I found it after a while. Me and my parents went to Zion Road to eat. There I was surprised to meet my God-Parents. And if that was not bad enough, I met my church sacristan. What a small country Singapore is. So, after dinner, I headed home and did my homework from 10 till 12 and was advised to go to sleep by Louisa as I had a headache. After that, I read my book before sleeping at 1am. So, now that SJI International is in the Finals of the debate, more supporters are expected and hopefully, we can win this.

  LET YOUR WILL BE DONE!!
